Share Ardess

Share Ardess seeks to be there to support and encourage all in our community. We operate a food bank service and if you require help with anything else, we will gladly see if we can assist you. It is facilitated from the Courthouse, Main Street, Kesh.

If you think we can do something that would help you, then please give us a call: Alan Crawford 07968 189 563.

Share Ardess is an inclusive project facilitated by a group of volunteers who want to share the love of Jesus with vulnerable people in the community.  God gave us a vision to feed the hungry based on Matthew 25. God has called us to reach out to those in need and we believe this vision is for us to feed his people Practically, Emotionally and Spiritually.

Practically

We have created a food bank serviced by members of Ardess Church and members of the community.

Hampers – provided confidentially for people in financial difficulty. Referrals are located by word of mouth or through agencies such as Women’s Aid, First Housing or Social Services.

Emotionally

We visit, befriend and walk alongside people who are feeling lonely, depressed, isolated from society or just need a friend to talk to.

Spiritually

Our ultimate aim is to bring people into God’s Kingdom. We will pray with those who wish to be prayed with or introduce them to the Healing prayer ministry in church.

We can arrange transport for those who would like to attend church events and services. There is no time limit on the help provided.

There is potential for whole church and local community involvement; currently the congregation bring food on Sunday mornings to church and food can also be dropped off at The Courthouse, Main Street, Kesh.

Our vision is to extend this service of practical help and support and get other churches in the community involved. At the moment we are concentrating on the Kesh area.
We would like to extend the area covered with the hope of reaching the border communities. We want to involve more and supply food vouchers to be redeemed at a central point. Our desire is to share God’s love and extend his Kingdom by bringing Church into the community.

‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was in prison and you came to visit me’ Matthew ch 25.
